Prospect Resources Limited has expanded its ongoing Phase 3 diamond drilling programme at the Mumbezhi Copper Project in north-west Zambia by 3,375 metres to a target total of 13,375 metres. The expansion follows new assay results from the flagship Nyungu Central deposit, where drilling has returned wide, high-grade copper intercepts outside the current mineral resource estimate.

Drill hole NCDD033 intersected 27 metres at 0.69% copper from 102 metres, while hole NCDD031 returned 5.1 metres at 0.99% copper from 173 metres and 3.8 metres at 0.95% copper from 132 metres. These intercepts are located up-dip from recent step-out drilling and consolidate an extension zone immediately to the south-east of the existing deposit.

The company holds a 90% interest in Mumbezhi through ongoing exploration campaigns following earlier Phase 1 and Phase 2 work. Twenty-nine diamond holes totaling 8,863 metres have now been completed at Nyungu Central, with priority assays pending for 16 resource extension holes. The expanded programme will direct additional metres toward high-potential growth targets in the eastern flank and northern down-plunge areas.

Regional exploration across the project also advanced, with first-pass drilling completed at the Sharamba prospect, where eight holes totaling 2,358 metres confirmed a new copper discovery. Four diamond drill rigs are operating on site across Nyungu Central and Kabikupa, with rigs scheduled to move to the Kamafamba and Chipimpa prospects.

The Mumbezhi Scoping Study remains on track for completion and release in the first quarter of 2027.
