Prospect Ridge Intersects Alteration And Sulphides In Maiden Excalibur Drilling
Prospect Ridge Resources Corp. has completed its maiden diamond drilling campaign at the Excalibur copper-gold porphyry project in British Columbia, successfully drilling two holes totaling 515 metres and 464 metres before pausing the program for technical review.
Drilling at the 100% owned project began in July 2026, targeting two high-priority magnetic and chargeability anomalies identified by ground geophysics and supported by soil sampling. Hole EXC26-001 was drilled to 515 metres and intersected variably intense hydrothermal alteration alongside pyrite-dominant disseminated sulphide mineralization throughout its length, hosted in felsic intrusive and intermediate volcanic units. Visual estimates indicate the sulphide minerals consist predominantly of pyrite, with minor amounts of chalcopyrite and molybdenite appearing locally.

Hole EXC26-002 was collared 948 metres northeast of the first hole and reached a depth of 464 metres. It encountered localized, structurally controlled silicification over approximately 70 metres in the upper section, followed by patchy potassic alteration across a combined 225 metres in the lower portion. Trace pyrite-dominant mineralization, including quartz-pyrite veins and rare chalcopyrite, galena, and sphalerite, was observed through the hole.

The company’s portfolio focus was established in January 2026, when Prospect Ridge outlined three drill-ready copper-gold porphyry projects in British Columbia backed by $2.43 million in flow-through financing.
Core samples from both holes at Excalibur have been cut, sampled from top to bottom, and sent to ALS Minerals for geochemical assay. Analytical results remain pending. Drill casings were left in place in both holes to facilitate potential deeper drilling once results are integrated. Prospect Ridge plans to announce final assay results and outline plans for resuming the drill program upon receipt of the laboratory data.
