Prospectiva Resources Ltd. has commenced a maiden diamond drilling programme at its flagship São Francisco Copper-Gold Project within Brazil’s Borborema Belt.

The fully funded 2,500-metre campaign comprises 10 holes designed to test newly identified electromagnetic conductors across the property. The first hole is already complete, with drilling underway on the second, and the programme is expected to be finished by November.

Prospectiva acquired the asset in early 2026 after it was originally discovered as a grassroots prospect by Yamana Gold Inc. in 2019. Historical drilling by Yamana defined an approximately two-kilometre copper-gold mineralised zone. Recent fixed-loop electromagnetic surveys conducted by the current operating team have expanded the interpreted target strike length to approximately three kilometres.

The drilling will initially target high-grade, near-surface mineralisation at the western end of the three-kilometre exploration target zone, designated as SF1. Five holes averaging about 150 metres in depth are planned at SF1 to test and expand the known footprint of massive sulphide mineralisation.

Following the completion of the SF1 drilling, the rig will move to the eastern end of the exploration target, known as SF2. Historical drilling at SF2 identified broader zones of disseminated copper mineralisation. Recent electromagnetic surveys located a series of conductors to the south of these historical zones, where drilling will test a southwest-trending limb and fold nose structure that may represent a favourable setting for the local remobilisation and concentration of mineralisation.

Downhole electromagnetic surveys will be conducted throughout the programme to refine targets and optimise subsequent holes towards the strongest conductive responses. Drill core will also be orientated to support structural interpretations and improve the understanding of the controls on mineralisation. Assay results will be released publicly as laboratories return data and the technical team completes its reviews.

“We believe São Francisco has the potential to be significantly larger than the mineralised footprint defined historically. Our recent work has identified multiple new targets and provided a clearer understanding of the controls on mineralisation. This maiden drilling programme is an important step in establishing the scale and continuity of São Francisco and testing its potential for further near-surface high-grade copper mineralisation.”

The current campaign forms part of the company's broader operational strategy to advance the São Francisco project toward the potential definition of an initial Mineral Resource in 2027.
