Puma Exploration Launches Trenching at McKenzie Gold Project to Define Drill Targets

Puma Exploration Inc. has started a mechanical trenching program at the McKenzie Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick to expand surface exposures and refine targets ahead of a planned fall and winter drilling campaign.
The current field work follows a summer program of prospecting, geological mapping, and high-resolution drone magnetic surveys across the property. At the RIM Gold Zone, crews are focusing on a 200-metre extension on both sides of the zone following an inaugural 2026 drilling program that confirmed gold mineralization at depth and along strike. Structural work at RIM indicates that gold-bearing quartz veins occur within a bedding-parallel shear system alongside extension veins, suggesting that higher-grade shoots plunge shallowly toward the west-southwest.
Trenching is also getting underway at the Grog Gold Zone to test priority targets generated from mapping, prospecting, and the new geophysical and structural datasets. Previous trenching and mapping at Grog indicate that gold mineralization is associated with northwest-oriented late brittle faults and quartz veining. Puma is using new magnetic data, LiDAR interpretation, and 2026 field observations to extend current pits and evaluate the strike potential of the system.
Puma plans to use the results from both zones to define and prioritize drill targets for the upcoming winter program at RIM, Grog, and at least one additional advanced target. Puma acquired an initial 70% interest in the McKenzie Gold Project in January 2025 through agreements with NB Gold Inc. and Comet Lithium Corporation.
