The development effort follows a $15 million strategic investment secured in April 2026 from the Queensland Investment Corporation Critical Minerals Fund to support Definitive Feasibility Study workstreams at the site.
The project encompasses a total Ore Reserve of 9.6 million tonnes at 0.65% copper, 0.48 g/t gold, 0.27% zinc, 5.20 g/t silver and 4.3% sulphur. This reserve sits within a broader combined resource base of approximately 20 million tonnes across QMines’ portfolio, which has expanded from a combined resource of 15.1 million tonnes reported in July 2024 following resource updates across the Mt Chalmers, Develin Creek and Mt Mackenzie projects.
Work across the property continues on multiple fronts. QMines has assay results pending from seven further drill holes as part of an ongoing 10,000-metre drilling campaign, while technical teams advance feasibility studies in parallel with the newly established financial advisory mandate.
