QMines Limited has returned broad high-grade copper and gold mineralisation from a further two drill holes at its flagship Mt Chalmers project in Central Queensland, highlighted by a 32-metre intersection grading 1.99% copper, 0.39 g/t gold and 2.6 g/t silver from 138 metres in hole 26MCRD006.

The 32-metre interval includes a high-grade copper core of 7 metres at 4.18% copper and 0.51 g/t gold from 152 metres, featuring a peak individual assay of 1m at 11.3% copper. Gold grades strengthened toward the base of the intercept, where a separate 7-metre zone averaged 2.14% copper and 1.00 g/t gold, including 1 metre at 5.63 g/t gold.

A second hole, 26MCDD008, tested a separate shallow polymetallic lens and returned 25 metres at 2.08 g/t gold, 92 g/t silver, 2.56% zinc and 0.19% copper from 56 metres downhole. Within this shallow interval, drilling intersected 7 metres at 5.79 g/t gold, 147 g/t silver and 5.16% zinc, with individual 1-metre assays reaching up to 12.6 g/t gold, 260 g/t silver and 10.75% zinc.

“Deeper in the system, hole 26MCRD006 returned a 32m interval at 1.99% copper through the copper- dominant stringer and semi-massive sulphide zone. The sharp margins and internal high-grade zones are giving us a much clearer picture of the geometry and metal zoning of the feeder system beneath the historic workings.” — Tom Bartschi, QMines Exploration Manager

The latest assays form part of an ongoing 10,000-metre multi-rig drilling campaign targeting both resource growth and reserve conversion across the property. True widths of the reported intervals are not yet known and remain subject to ongoing structural interpretation.

The Mt Chalmers project is advancing through a Definitive Feasibility Study to guide the deposit toward a Final Investment Decision, supported by a $15 million strategic investment from the QIC Critical Minerals and Battery Technology Fund. Drilling continues across the asset, with ten additional completed holes currently sitting in the laboratory awaiting assay results to feed into the ongoing resource and feasibility programs.
