Radius Gold Inc. (TSX-V: RDU) has completed recent site visits to its Jonco and Tierra Roja projects in Peru, marking a step in the company’s push to advance these exploration assets. President Dr. Luke Longridge visited both sites in early July to review geological data, inspect historical drill core, and evaluate the mineral systems present on the ground. The company is currently engaged in the administrative groundwork necessary to transition these properties from assessment to active drilling.

At the Jonco silver project, management met with community representatives from Cajamarquilla to discuss surface rights, a critical step for future permitting. The project is characterized as a bulk-tonnage polymetallic system, featuring epithermal mineralization across a significant ridge. Radius plans to re-sample historical drill core and trenches while finalizing its exploration strategy.

"It was great to meet with the Cajamarquilla community representatives during the site visit. We look forward to continuing to work with them to secure the necessary surface access agreements and permitting for future exploration activities at Jonco. I am even more excited about the project now that I have seen it in person. Strong alteration associated with polymetallic mineralization, together with favourable topographic relief, confirms the potential for a bulk-tonnage target"

Attention at the Tierra Roja property is centered on identifying a potential copper porphyry system. Site observations confirmed widespread copper oxides beneath thin cover, with mineralization identified across a four-square-kilometer area. The technical team is currently working with Peruvian authorities to secure the required drilling authorizations. A surface work programme is also being prepared to help delineate the extent of the mineralization prior to future drill testing.

"There is no substitute for getting into the field and viewing the rocks firsthand. The geological features at Tierra Roja, notably the presence of porphyry dykes, widespread silicification and potassic alteration, and the abundance of secondary copper oxides below the caliche cover, are all indications of a mineralized porphyry system, and the distribution of copper oxides over such a large area is highly encouraging. I look forward to working on both projects to realize their potential."

Looking ahead, the company faces several clear milestones. At Jonco, the primary focus remains securing the essential surface agreements with local community stakeholders, followed by the formal announcement of a structured drilling programme. Simultaneously, the advancement of the Tierra Roja copper project depends on obtaining regulatory drilling permits from the Peruvian government. These procedural steps are the immediate priorities as the company works to refine its exploration targets for the remainder of the year.

The market responded to these updates during the session on July 21, 2026. Shares of Radius Gold rose 3.33% on the day, closing at $0.155. The activity in the stock was supported by trading volume that exceeded the 50-day average, signaling investor interest in the progress of the company's Peruvian exploration strategy as management shifts from data review toward field-based development milestones at both target sites.
