Radius Gold Reports Porphyry-Style Geochemical Results at Tierra Roja Core Target, Peru

Radius Gold has reported multi-element geochemical rock and soil sampling results from the core of its Tierra Roja copper project in southern Peru, returning metal associations that align with the upper levels of a porphyry copper system.

Multi-element ICP data from rock samples collected across the approximately 600m by 800m core zone indicate clear associations between copper, silver, and gold. Potassium values frequently exceed 2% K, supporting the presence of potassic alteration within the host Jurassic andesite volcanics. Molybdenum concentrations in rocks commonly range between 5 ppm and 10 ppm or higher, standing above the levels observed in surrounding soils.

Soil sampling across the broader area outlined an inverse relationship between copper and zinc. Lead and zinc concentrations remain depleted over the high-copper core while appearing elevated on the periphery, reflecting a metal zonation pattern characteristic of porphyry systems.

Radius Gold plans to commence a larger, property-wide multi-element geochemical survey across the Tierra Roja property in September 2026, with results to be reported as they become available. Permitting at Tierra Roja is advancing through administrative channels. Because the project occupies state-owned barren land, Radius requires surface rights from the Superintendencia Nacional de Bienes Estatales in addition to exploration authorization from the Gerencia Regional de Energía y Minas of Arequipa. The company holds provisional surface access authorization, supporting preparatory work, while its application for the Authorization to Initiate Exploration Activities remains in process.

Although it has been frustrating that surface-rights permission on state land has taken this long, the resolution of the initial SBN authorization means we can get on with the property-wide sampling program and we are optimistic that the remaining valuation and definitive contract can be completed in a reasonable timeframe. Obtaining the GREM authorization and progressing on the path to drilling the target at Tierra Roja is Radius’s primary near-term focus.”
