Rain City Resources Inc. subsidiary Rain City Resources LATAM SpA has entered into a Scientific and Technological Evaluation Agreement with Quiborax S.A. to assess its extraction platform using materials from the El Águila lithium recovery project in Chile’s Arica and Parinacota Region.

The agreement establishes a structured framework to evaluate Rain City’s AC²ME extraction, separation, and processing platform using Quiborax materials and process streams. This initiative follows the company's strategic alliance established with Fraunhofer Chile in May 2026 to advance its Direct Lithium Extraction platform across Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile.

Quiborax has recently achieved a regulatory milestone under Chile's CEOL framework, securing authorization to build processing infrastructure to recover lithium from historic tailings at El Águila. The project aims to recover nearly 20,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent through December 2046.

The current arrangement remains strictly a scientific and technological evaluation framework and does not constitute a commercial production agreement or joint venture. If technical results justify further development, the parties may subsequently negotiate separate agreements covering additional testing, pilot or commercial facilities, technology licensing, engineering, mineral recovery, investment, financing, supply, offtake, or joint ventures.
