Ramaco Resources has executed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Bedrock Semiconductor Inc. to negotiate a supply of gallium feedstock and other essential elements from the Brook Mine rare earth and critical-mineral project in Wyoming.

The arrangement sets the framework for the companies to negotiate a definitive supply agreement intended to support domestic manufacturing of gallium-nitride semiconductor materials and high-voltage power devices. The contemplated partnership aims to build a secure domestic supply chain linking raw materials extracted in Wyoming with advanced device production used in AI data centers, electric vehicles, and renewable energy infrastructure.

The memorandum of understanding remains non-binding. Any future supply or offtake arrangements are subject to completion of due diligence, negotiation and execution of definitive agreements, and the successful development of the Brook Mine project.

“Bedrock's GaN substrates and GaN-on-GaN devices require a lot more gallium than GaN devices grown on silicon or silicon carbide substrates. But currently over 95% of gallium is produced in China. Developing a supply relationship with Ramaco is important for Bedrock to be able to source gallium domestically. Fortunately, Ramaco's Brook Mine is expected to meet Bedrock's demand for gallium for decades to come”

This arrangement follows a similar non-binding agreement reached in May 2026 with REalloys, Inc. to supply mixed rare earth carbonates and scandium oxide from the Wyoming project.

The Brook Mine holds a second five-year mine permit approval issued in July 2025 by the Land Quality Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, authorizing mining and reclamation across 4,548.8 permitted acres near Sheridan, Wyoming. Ramaco commenced initial mobilization and site development activities in October 2025 for a pilot processing plant and laboratory located adjacent to the site.
