Recharge Metals Advances Sunset Well with Heritage Survey Dates and Mining Lease Application
Recharge Metals has advanced its Sunset Well Project in Western Australia by confirming heritage survey dates with the Darlot Traditional Owners for late August 2026, marking the final major step before a maiden 30,000-metre drilling program.
Chief Executive Officer Luke Timmermans noted that the upcoming work will provide the company with its first systematic test of the Prospero Deposit using modern exploration techniques since the mid-1990s.
“With the completion of heritage, the maiden 30,000m drilling program is anticipated to commence in early Q4 and will primarily target the 94,500oz Prospero Deposit and the broader 15km Prospero Trend. The drilling will be the first drilling completed in nearly three decades.”

Prospero hosts an Inferred Mineral Resource of 2.87 million tonnes grading 1.0 grams per tonne gold for 94,500 ounces from surface. The deposit remains open along strike and at depth, with only three historical holes drilled deeper than 100 metres vertical depth. Historical drilling returned broad and high-grade intercepts, including 36 metres at 2.73 grams per tonne gold from 32 metres, with a 16-metre section at 5.39 grams per tonne gold from 36 metres.
Alongside the survey scheduling, Recharge submitted a Mining Lease Application covering 1,162 hectares over the deposit to support potential future open-pit operations and infrastructure. The company also applied for a 2.7-kilometre haul road miscellaneous licence to connect the site to the bitumised Leonora-Laverton Road.
Recharge holds approximately $5.6 million in cash at bank to fund its ongoing programs.
