Resolute Mining Reports Q2 Gold Output of 45,192 Ounces
Resolute Mining Limited (RSG) released its June 2026 quarterly results, reporting gold production of 45,192 ounces, a decrease from the 59,603 ounces recorded in the prior quarter. This reduction in output, coupled with a planned roaster shutdown and slower equipment mobilization at the A21 open pit, contributed to an increase in All-In Sustaining Costs, which rose to $2,484 per ounce from $2,210 per ounce in the previous three-month period. Despite these operational pressures, the company maintained its full-year production guidance and ended the quarter with a solid net cash position of $317.4 million, bolstered by the repayment of vendor financing from the divestment of its former project.
Capital expenditure surged to $63.5 million for the quarter, compared to $33.4 million in the first quarter of 2026. This significant expansion in investment reflects the ongoing development at the Doropo project in Côte d'Ivoire. Construction at the site is currently progressing as planned, with the project moving from a final investment decision into active execution. To support this growth, the company secured $155 million in local bank financing in Côte d'Ivoire post-quarter end, with plans to finalize an additional $105 million during the third quarter of 2026. This financing is intended to provide the necessary liquidity to maintain construction momentum.
The technical focus remains centered on the Syama project in Mali, where the Sulphide Conversion Project has entered the initial stages of commissioning. The company expects this project to ramp up throughout the remainder of 2026, which is critical to its strategy of lifting production levels in the second half of the year. While operational performance in the June quarter faced headwinds, management noted that activity levels showed improvement toward the end of the period, reinforcing confidence in meeting the lower end of the annual production guidance of 250,000 to 275,000 ounces of gold.

Beyond current production and construction efforts, the company is advancing its development pipeline at the ABC project, also located in Côte d'Ivoire. Following an updated mineral resource estimate, which now stands at 3 million ounces of contained gold, the company has approved a work program valued between $15 million and $25 million. This initiative is designed to advance the project through detailed feasibility studies and the submission of a formal mining application, with a target timeline for completion by the end of 2027.
Looking ahead, Resolute continues to balance its operational delivery with capital discipline. The successful integration of the Syama Sulphide Conversion Project and the construction of the Doropo mine remain the two primary catalysts for the company over the coming months. Management intends to maintain its focus on safety, cost control, and the progressive commissioning of its major infrastructure projects to ensure the group meets its stated financial and production targets through the end of the 2026 fiscal year and into 2027.
