REV Exploration Completes 3D Seismic Program at West Butte Project
REV Exploration Corp. has completed an 8.5-square-mile 3D seismic survey at the West Butte helium project in Toole County, Montana, advancing the property toward its first-ever drilling targets.
The survey was carried out by Tetra Tech using a mixed-source wireless node approach to map the property's challenging terrain, recording 1,524 Vibroseis source points on accessible ground and 269 dynamite shot points in steeper coulees and foothills. The program was completed with zero injuries or accidents, and field crews restored surface areas upon completion.
The resulting high-quality subsurface data has been delivered for processing and interpretation, providing the technical team with enhanced imaging of structural and stratigraphic targets beneath the acreage to delineate upcoming drilling locations. REV also holds the drill-ready Aden Dome project along the Alberta-Montana border, which is slated for initial drilling during the third quarter of 2026.
“The completion of the West Butte 3D seismic program is a major step forward for REV's Montana exploration strategy. Executing a mixed-source survey across the challenging terrain of West Butte required careful planning by our technical team and a skilled field team. We are very pleased with the quality of the data collected and look forward to advancing interpretation to identify our first drilling targets at this very promising project in a known Helium district.”
