Riversgold Limited has submitted a Native Vegetation Clearing Permit application for its Northern Zone Gold Project, located 25 km east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The application has been lodged with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. Under Western Australian legislation, clearing native vegetation requires authorization under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 before any land clearance can take place.

The permitting milestone follows Riversgold securing Mining Lease M25/389 over the site in July 2026. The lease was granted for a 21-year term running to July 2047 and is renewable.

"The completion and submission of the Native Vegetation Clearing Permit (NVCP) application to the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) puts us another step closer to the Company monetising our key Northern Zone Gold Project near Kalgoorlie. The gold price continues to remain strong, and this is a great time to be on the path to production."

— Ed Mead, Technical Director

The open-pit project is held through an 80% interest by Riversgold, alongside 20% owner Oracle Power Plc, with development fully funded by Mega Resources under a Mining and Co-operation Agreement.

The project team is now preparing the Mine Development and Closure Proposal, which serves as the primary operating approval required to begin mining operations.

"We remain firmly on track to submit our Mine Development and Closure Proposal (MDCP) to the Department of Mines Petroleum and Energy (DMPE) in early September, and we are working very closely with our funding partners, MEGA Resources, on finalising mine planning and scheduling."

— Ed Mead, Technical Director

Submission of the Mine Development and Closure Proposal is scheduled for early September, with the company working alongside MEGA Resources on final mine planning.
