Rocky Shore Hits 15.02 Metres at 2.04 g/t Gold in Lane Pond Discovery at Gold AnchorSource: Rocky Shore
Rocky Shore Gold Ltd. has intersected 15.02 metres grading 2.04 g/t gold starting from 275.98 metres in hole LP-26-13, defining the new Lucky 13 Gold Zone at the Gold Anchor Project in central Newfoundland.
The maiden 25-hole drill campaign at the 11-kilometre-long Lane Pond Gold Target totaled 8,086 metres, confirming gold mineralization across multiple widely spaced holes over an interpreted strike length of approximately 1,800 metres and a dip extent exceeding 500 metres. Hole LP-26-13 included higher-grade intervals of 5.00 metres at 3.85 g/t gold and 1.00 metre at 5.70 g/t gold within a deeper brittle-deformed quartz-rich stockwork. Assay results from holes 5, 6, 10, 14, and 20 through 25 remain pending.
Concurrent with the Lane Pond exploration, Rocky Shore has commenced a fully funded, first-phase 5,000-metre drill program at the Mosquito Gold Deposit and surrounding area. Modern 3D geophysical resistivity inversions indicate that more than 60% of the interpreted intrusive footprint lies outside currently drilled deposit limits, outlining the Mosquito Target Horizon along an eastern transition corridor extending over 600 metres south of the deposit.
“Our initial campaign at Lane Pond proved that we have a widespread, fertile, orogenic hydrothermal system capable of generating additional gold discoveries like Lucky 13,” stated Ken Lapierre, P.Geo., President & CEO of Rocky Shore Gold . “Moving the drill to the Mosquito Target Horizon with 5,000 metres planned allows us to apply this same disciplined structural targeting approach within and beyond the Deposit's established mineral resource area. It's exciting that we are now advancing the Gold Anchor Project on two distinct fronts: unlocking new discoveries at Lane Pond and pursuing clear scale opportunities for resource advancement at Mosquito.” — Ken Lapierre, P.Geo., President & CEO
The project hosts the Mosquito Hill and Reid Gold Deposits, which carry an established mineral resource estimate. Rocky Shore expanded the property's land holdings by acquiring 128 mining claims in March 2026 followed by another 13 claims in May 2026.
Regional exploration activity across the wider district includes high-grade gold channel sampling and drill results reported at the Queensway project. Rocky Shore will report further assay results from Lane Pond as laboratories return data to refine the geometry and scale of the Lucky 13 Zone.
