Rokmaster Resources Corp. has satisfied the initial terms of its option agreement with Patrick James Burns to acquire a 100% interest in the Cristal Project in northern Chile.

The transaction secures the company's entry into the property, which comprises approximately nine square kilometres of contiguous exploitation mineral concessions. The ground sits along the West Fissure, north of the Collahuasi/Ujina porphyry copper district. To complete the initial requirements, Rokmaster received acceptance from the TSX Venture Exchange, issued 7,000,000 common shares to the optionor, and paid US$70,000 in cash.

With the initial acquisition steps finished, Rokmaster plans to initiate further geophysical surveys at the property to refine historical undrilled targets identified during previous work by BHP and others. These refined targets will then be tested by the company's upcoming initial diamond drill program.

“The geophysical signature at Cristal is compelling and significant in scale. Magnetic data define a strong, circular, doughnut-shaped anomaly approximately three kilometres in diameter and centred on the Property. The anomaly comprises a weak central magnetic high surrounded by a magnetic low-a pattern that may reflect alteration zoning associated with a buried porphyry copper system. The scale and geometry of this magnetic response, together with supporting electromagnetic and regional structural evidence, make Cristal a high-priority exploration target.”

The upcoming geophysical work and subsequent diamond drilling will focus on evaluating the structural and magnetic anomalies outlined in historical technical assessments.
