Rox Signs Native Title Mining Agreement For Youanmi Gold Mine

Rox Resources Limited has signed a binding Native Title Mining Agreement with the Badimia Barna Native Title Claim Applicant for the Youanmi Gold Project in Western Australia.
The executed agreement provides formal consent for the grant and renewal of future mining tenure and the conduct of mining activities across the project area. Wholly owned subsidiary Rox (Murchison) Pty Ltd holds the asset, with the company targeting first gold production in mid-CY2027.
The transaction establishes a structured framework for heritage protection, environmental consultation, employment, training, and contracting opportunities for the Badimia people. It also sets up a project liaison committee to support ongoing engagement alongside a financial package consisting of an upfront payment and a production-based royalty.
“The signing of this Agreement is an important milestone for the Youanmi Gold Mine and reflects the positive relationship that has been developed between the Rox team and the Badimia people.” — Phill Wilding, Managing Director & CEO
Prior to finalising the Native Title agreement, Rox Resources secured final environmental Works Approvals for Youanmi in July 2026. That regulatory milestone followed the completion and signing of A$350 million in debt facilities in April 2026 with a syndicate of tier-one banks, comprising a $300 million Senior Secured Project Term Loan Facility, a $20 million Cost Overrun Facility, and a $30 million Bank Guarantee Facility.
The company expects the first drawdown under those debt facilities in Q3 2026. Development work across the site continues to advance following the receipt of underground mining permits and the completion of primary dewatering phases, with mining activities scheduled to begin at the historic Youanmi Decline in October 2026.
