Scorpio Gold Corporation has intersected 3.02 g/t gold over 48.92 metres from 118.87 metres, including 19.29 g/t gold over 5.24 metres, in hole 26MN-115 at the Manhattan Project in Nevada, USA.

The results form part of an ongoing Phase Two diamond drilling program at the 4,780-hectare property in the Walker Lane Trend. Scorpio Gold has drilled 114 holes totaling 32,585 metres to date under the campaign, with assays reported for 107 holes totaling 30,889 metres and results pending for seven holes totaling 1,696 metres.

Hole 26MN-118, collared as a roughly 50-metre step-out at Goldwedge, returned 1.19 g/t gold over 99.94 metres from 98.61 metres, including 5.13 g/t gold over 4.16 metres within the Zanzibar Formation. Along the Zanzibar Trend, hole 26MN-116 intersected 0.93 g/t gold over 22.16 metres from 95.71 metres, including 3.72 g/t gold over 3.75 metres within the Gold Hill Formation.

At the Moriah target, hole 26MN-113 marked the first known drilling in the area of historic workings. While it intersected prospective units and structures near the top alongside moderate silicification and veining near the bottom, significant gold mineralization was not encountered.

Historically, the Manhattan District has produced approximately 700,000 ounces of gold from high-grade placer and lode operations dating from the late 1890s through to the mid-2000s.
