Sheffield Resources Limited (SFX) has confirmed that its primary Western Australian asset, the Dampier (Thunderbird) project, maintained operational momentum throughout June. The company reports that improvements in mining efficiency and product recovery observed in May continued into the following month, marking a period of stable performance for the operation.

During June, the mine processed over 1.05 million tonnes of ore. Production outputs for the month included approximately 63,000 tonnes of ilmenite concentrate and 16,900 tonnes of zircon concentrate. These figures contribute to a robust quarterly performance, with the company reporting a total of approximately 2.8 million tonnes of ore mined across the June 2025 quarter. Production volumes for this three-month period reached roughly 160,000 tonnes of ilmenite concentrate and 43,000 tonnes of zircon concentrate.

Total concentrate shipments for the June quarter amounted to approximately 189,000 tonnes, comprising 115,000 tonnes of ilmenite, 29,000 tonnes of zircon, and 45,000 tonnes of HiTi concentrate. One scheduled shipment of co-loaded ilmenite and zircon concentrate was moved into July due to vessel availability, but overall production metrics appear to reflect a stabilization of site activities.

Sheffield Resources holds a 50% interest in Kimberley Mineral Sands Pty Ltd, the entity that operates the project. As the company continues to refine its output, these recent figures provide evidence that the operational adjustments implemented by the joint venture are yielding the intended consistency across both extraction and recovery phases at the site.
