Sierra Nevada Gold Shifts Focus to Saudi Arabia, Commences Nevada Portfolio Review
Sierra Nevada Gold has commenced a strategic review and commercialisation process for its exploration asset portfolio in Nevada, USA, pivoting capital and management resources toward its growing operations in Saudi Arabia.
The decision is driven by early exploration success at the company's As Safra Project in Saudi Arabia, where initial drilling has reinforced conviction in the broader regional opportunity. To support these activities, the company established its 100%-owned Saudi Arabian subsidiary, Arabian American Minerals LLC, in March 2026 to hold licenses and execute exploration programs at As Safra.
"Our success in Saudi Arabia has sharpened our focus on where we can create the most value for shareholders, with As Safra returning exciting results from our initial drilling program. We have a high-quality portfolio in Nevada, including established discoveries and significant untested potential, and that quality is being recognised through strong commercial interest. This process is about unlocking value from those assets while allocating more of our capital and management resources to As Safra and the broader Saudi opportunity, where we believe the potential is becoming increasingly compelling."
— Adam Oehlman, Chief Executive Officer
Sierra Nevada Gold's United States portfolio comprises five exploration projects spanning epithermal gold-silver, Carlin-style gold, and porphyry copper-gold targets, including the Warrior, New Pass, Blackhawk, and Colorback projects. The assets feature established discoveries, extensive untested mineralised trends, and drill-ready targets.

The company reported the portfolio has attracted strong commercial interest, with preliminary discussions underway with several parties regarding varied transaction structures. Sierra Nevada Gold is considering a range of potential outcomes, including asset sales, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, with the objective of maximizing value while retaining exposure to future exploration upside where appropriate.
