Sigma Lithium Corporation has brought its mining and industrial operations fully back online at the Grota do Cirilo project in Minas Gerais, Brazil, following the execution of a Terms for Adjustment of Procedures agreement with state authorities.

The agreement settles environmental procedure adjustments that require approximately US$1 million in capital expenditures, alongside payments of up to US$540,000 for historical fines dating from 2013 to 2022. The settlement provides legal certainty and resolves potential legal collateral of US$10 million that had followed a lower court decision earlier in the year.

Operating in the Vale do Jequitinhonha region, Grota do Cirilo serves as the company's flagship lithium production asset. With ordinary operating activities resumed, Sigma Lithium is targeting production of 240,000 tonnes of lithium oxide concentrate within 12 months, alongside an output target of 330,000 tonnes in fiscal 2027. Operations involving the sale of high-purity lithium fines from reprocessed tailings continued without disruption through the partial suspension.

Beyond the near-term production schedule, the company is advancing Phase 2 and Phase 3 expansion plans designed to scale annual processing capacity from 330,000 tonnes to 580,000 tonnes and 830,000 tonnes, respectively. Concurrently, Sigma Lithium has greenlighted the next stage of upgrades for its haulage fleet in cooperation with manufacturer SANY, aiming to expand capacity using 75-tonne trucks and 98-tonne excavators.

Elsewhere within the district, Lithium Ionic Corp. secured a construction-phase water source via an 18-month lease for abstraction from the Jequitinhonha River and advanced engineering and procurement at its Bandeira Project.
