Silver Pony Resources Corp. has intersected galena-pyrite vein breccias across targeted marble and schist contacts in the first three drill holes ever completed on the Revelstoke Trend at the Silver Pony Project in southeastern British Columbia.

The maiden drilling comprises holes SP-26-005, SP-26-006, and SP-26-007, collared from a single pad below historic workings. Hole SP-26-005 intercepted several mineralized intervals, including a 6.9-metre zone of banded impure marble from 8.80 metres carrying visible galena and pyrite. Hole SP-26-006 intersected 24.60 metres of marble carrying local galena and pyrite in pale vein breccia zones from 1.90 metres, alongside a lower contact vein. Hole SP-26-007 cut a 3.25-metre vein breccia interval from 17.75 metres with fine disseminations and stringers of galena.

Reported drill intervals represent downhole lengths from qualitative core logging, and true widths are not yet known. Laboratory assays are pending. Multi-element results from surface sampling returned up to 1,610 g/t silver on the northwest trend and 442 g/t silver with over 15% lead from a grab sample located about 40 metres from the drill pad.

“We are continuing to hit galena-pyrite vein breccias in all three completed holes at the Revelstoke Trend, with each hole cutting several mineralized intervals on the contacts we targeted, which is an encouraging sign this early in the program. What makes the galena so interesting is that everywhere we have assay data on this property to date, from the historic trenches to this season's surface samples, it has indicated elevated levels of silver. That sampling returned 442 g/t silver roughly forty metres from the drill pad, and up to 1,610 g/t silver from the northwest trend, a key target for follow-up work. These results add further evidence that the thesis we built from the historic record is bearing fruit, and the pending core assays will tell us what the drill intersections carry.”

Drilling activity on the property continues. Silver Pony Resources Corp. is currently drilling hole SP-26-008 on the valley floor roughly 200 metres from the first three holes to intersect the same target contacts at greater depth. The company also expects the first drill assay results from the Black Warrior and Old Gold holes at the project.
