Silverco Mining Ltd. has advanced operational and exploration work at its 100% owned La Negra Mine in Querétaro, Mexico, following its acquisition of the asset on May 19, 2026.

Since taking ownership of the producing silver mine, Silverco has appointed a new general manager, ordered a renewal of its underground mobile fleet, and commenced construction engineering for a dry stack tailings filtration system. The tailings transition is scheduled for completion by the end of the first quarter of 2027 and is designed to remove existing throughput constraints, enabling the processing plant to reach its nameplate capacity of 2,500 tonnes per day in the first half of 2027.

The company has ordered new underground equipment from Epiroc, including a development jumbo, a long hole production drill, and four scoops, with deliveries set across the final quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027. Additionally, Silverco has introduced a campaign milling strategy and a revised grade control program to improve metallurgical stability and unit costs ahead of the dry stack tailings conversion. Knight Piésold Consulting has also been engaged as Engineer of Record for the tailings facility.

“Since acquiring La Negra, we have moved quickly to strengthen our operating team, commit capital to debottleneck operations, and launch a 15,000-metre exploration program. These changes are already delivering initial operational improvements. We expect the mine to reach nameplate capacity of 2,500 tonnes per day in H1 2027, driven by the addition of new mobile equipment and a filtered tailings process.” — Mark Ayranto, CEO

On the exploration front, Silverco has completed approximately 1,000 metres of its planned 15,000-metre drill program at La Negra, advancing beyond initial rig mobilization. The company has also engaged SGS Geological Services to deliver an updated mineral resource estimate and an initial preliminary economic assessment for the asset.

“Concurrently, our 15,000-metre drilling program is underway, and we have engaged SGS Geological Services ("SGS") to complete a new resource estimate and Preliminary Economic Assessment ("PEA"). We believe the current mine plan significantly understates what this asset can achieve. Filtered tailings, a renewed underground fleet, and a materially better understanding of the orebody are the three key catalysts that will transform La Negra to key cash flow contributor and all three are now in motion” — Mark Ayranto, CEO

Both the initial assay results from the ongoing drilling and the updated resource estimate and preliminary economic assessment are expected to be released in late the third quarter of 2026.

Beyond La Negra, Silverco's broader operational schedule includes restarting its 100% owned Cusi Property in Chihuahua, Mexico, where first concentrate production is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026. Within the surrounding Querétaro district, Starcore International Mines Ltd. reported production of 2,008 gold equivalent ounces for the first fiscal quarter ended July 2026 at the San Martin Mine.
