Silverco Mining Intersects High-Grade Silver at Cusi
Silverco Mining Ltd. (SICO) has reported new underground and surface assay results from its 2026 drill program at the Cusi property in Chihuahua, Mexico. The company is currently executing a 30,000-metre diamond drilling campaign, with the latest findings focusing on infill targets at the Promontorio zone. These areas were identified as critical for optimizing the mine plan ahead of the company’s scheduled production restart in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Drilling results include a headline intersection from hole UGCU26-08, which returned 1,100 g/t silver and 1.61 g/t gold, or 1,080 g/t silver equivalent, over 10.3 metres. This hole included a high-grade interval of 6,452 g/t silver equivalent over 0.7 metres. According to management, the results are located within the initial footprint planned for the first year of operations.
"Our second set of results from the 2026 Cusi drill program continue to identify additional mineralization within the footprint of the first year of the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) mine plan."
"The elevated gold grades in this hole also suggest we remain high in the epithermal system at Promontorio, highlighting the potential for significant untested vertical extent at depth."
— Mark Ayranto, CEO
The company’s broader strategy involves building a diverse portfolio of silver assets, which includes its 100% interest in the producing La Negra Silver Mine in Querétaro, Mexico. At Cusi, the current exploration efforts are intended to enhance mine planning and confirm resource potential. The company expects to integrate these results into a project-wide resource update, which is scheduled for release in the first half of 2027. By focusing on infill drilling at Promontorio, the developer aims to refine its operational profile before the planned restart of production later this year.
