Sirios Resources Inc. has appointed Daniel Deschênes as Vice President of Projects to lead the execution of the Preliminary Economic Assessment and oversee subsequent development stages for the Cheechoo gold project in Québec’s Eeyou Istchee James Bay region.

Mr. Deschênes brings over 15 years of mining engineering and management experience across open-pit and underground operations in Québec, Ontario, Africa, and South America. His career includes senior technical roles with Newmont, IAMGOLD, Nemaska Lithium, and Windsor Salt, as well as operational familiarity with the region gained at the Éléonore mine and Whabouchi deposit.

"With his extensive experience in mining project development, Daniel will strengthen our ability to advance Cheechoo in a rigorous and responsible manner. His expertise will be particularly valuable as we move toward the Preliminary Economic Assessment and the next stages of development,"

— Jean-Félix Lepage, Chief Executive Officer of Sirios

The leadership addition supports ongoing technical and evaluation work at Cheechoo, which serves as the anchor of the company's district-scale gold platform established following a business combination with OVI Mining.

Field activity at the site features an active 25,000-metre drill campaign designed to support a future mineral resource estimate update alongside the preliminary economic study. Expanding the operational footprint around the property, project operator Ressources Sirios Inc. staked 41 new mineral claims.
