Skyharbour Resources Enters Option Agreement for Yurchison Property
Skyharbour Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: SYH) has signed a non-binding letter of intent to option up to a 100% interest in its Yurchison uranium property to Purecore Metals Inc. The transaction marks a strategic move to advance exploration on the 35,029-hectare land package located in the Wollaston Domain of Northern Saskatchewan.
The property is situated approximately 75 kilometres south of the Rabbit Lake operation. It remains largely underexplored despite a history of geophysical and geochemical programs conducted between the 1960s and the 2000s. The site is considered prospective for basement-hosted uranium, as well as molybdenum, copper, and zinc mineralization. Historical prospecting near former trenches yielded notable results, including uranium grades reaching 0.30% U3O8 and molybdenum concentrations up to 6,400 ppm.
This agreement shifts the status of the project from previous survey-based activities to a formal option arrangement. The transition depends on the negotiation of a binding definitive agreement, the completion of due diligence by Purecore, and the receipt of necessary regulatory approvals. These milestones represent the primary upcoming catalysts for the project’s development.
The Yurchison property is one part of a broader corporate strategy. Skyharbour maintains a large, diversified uranium portfolio within the Athabasca Basin, currently encompassing interests in 43 projects covering more than 662,887 hectares. By utilizing earn-in option agreements with various partners, the company aims to facilitate active exploration across its land package while managing its own capital commitments.
The broader sector backdrop remains steady, with uranium prices recently trading around US$85.45 per pound. While the company pursues these partner-funded exploration efforts, it continues to focus on maximizing value through systematic discovery and development across its extensive holdings.
