SLAM Exploration Ltd. has made a new massive sulphide discovery at its Goodwin copper-nickel-cobalt project in New Brunswick’s Bathurst Mining Camp. Diamond drill hole GW26-36 intersected a 67.4-metre core interval of sustained pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite mineralization from 124.4 metres to 191.8 metres.

The discovery hole was collared 2,000 metres northwest of the project's Logan zone and hosted multiple discrete massive sulphide intervals. These include zones from 140.7 metres to 142.0 metres, 142.35 metres to 142.4 metres, and 151.0 metres to 151.7 metres, alongside semi-massive sulphide occurrences.

By comparison, previous drilling on the Logan zone intersected an 87-metre mineralized interval in hole GW24-15.

The 100%-owned Goodwin project covers 14,000 hectares across the Bathurst Mining Camp. Alongside the primary discovery hole, SLAM Exploration tested the new area with two additional diamond drill holes. Hole GW26-37 intersected a discrete massive sulphide interval from 162.5 metres to 162.9 metres within a broader disseminated mineralized envelope. Hole GW26-38, the deepest hole of the program at 338 metres total depth, cored a chalcopyrite-bearing interval from 158.2 metres to 160.2 metres and a netted-texture sulphide interval from 269.6 metres to 272.8 metres.

All three holes remain open to interpretation. Mineralization details are based entirely on visual observations made during core logging, and the company has noted that true widths have not yet been determined. Assay results are pending for samples submitted from holes GW26-36, GW26-37, and GW26-38, which form part of a total of 992 core samples collected from 12 completed holes during the campaign.

The 2026 exploration program has also received financial backing from the provincial government, including a $60,000 grant awarded by the Province of New Brunswick to support the current diamond drilling campaign.

Elsewhere in the Bathurst Mining Camp, recent regional activity includes Nine Mile Metals reporting a 31.95-metre massive sulphide intersection grading 2.52% copper equivalent at the Wedge project on August 27, 2026.

The drill rig is presently on a scheduled two-week mid-summer break. SLAM Exploration expects drilling to resume next week to complete the planned 7,000-metre campaign, with assay results to be released as they are received and reviewed.
