SQM conducts its lithium operations in Chile through Nova Andino Litio, a joint company formed between SQM and Codelco. The joint venture in the Salar de Atacama remains subject to a pending Supreme Court decision regarding an appeal challenging regulatory approvals.

“In lithium, we achieved record quarterly sales volumes of over 84 thousand metric tons of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) from our lithium operations in Chile through Nova Andino Litio ii and in Australia through Covalent Lithium iii . As anticipated in our previous earnings report, prices increased during the second quarter, supported by stronger-than-expected market demand. We now expect global lithium demand to be over 2.1 million metric tons in 2026, further strengthening our confidence in the long-term fundamentals of the market.”
