Soma Gold Corp. has returned initial drill and underground channel sampling results from the La Escondida Mine at the Escondida Project in Antioquia, Colombia, highlighted by a first drill intercept of 4.25 g/t gold over 1.85 metres.

The initial drill hole, EZDDH-26-001, targeted the Escondida Vein 25 metres northeast of existing mine workings at a depth of 100 metres below surface, intersecting a 2.7-metre-wide fault zone and a 0.65-metre-wide quartz vein. The intercept included 12.10 g/t gold over 0.65 metres.

A second hole, EZDDH-26-002, was lost due to drilling difficulties before reaching its target depth, prompting the completion of hole EZDDH-26-003 50 metres down-dip and 65 metres southwest of the first intercept. Assay results for EZDDH-26-003 are pending following processing and shipment to Actlabs Medellín.

Underground channel sampling of 29 channels comprising 81 samples from previously flooded workings below level 10 returned composite grades up to 19.24 g/t gold over 1.0 metre, with individual intervals reaching up to 38.36 g/t gold.

Soma acquired the La Escondida Mine and its 1,051-hectare Concession Mining Contract in July 2025. The company subsequently closed a C$7.5 million private placement in June 2026 to support accelerated exploration across the property.

Operational development is currently underway to advance the main decline an additional 10 metres to open four active faces on two new levels, with Soma aiming to increase production to between 20 and 30 tons per day. Mined material from the operation is trucked approximately 1.5 hours to the company’s El Bagre Gold Complex for processing.
