Somerset Minerals Limited has confirmed a new copper-silver discovery at the Talisker target within its Coppermine Project in Canada, following the first assay results from its maiden reverse circulation drill program.

The initial two holes of the program both intersected thick zones of mineralisation beneath glacial cover. Hole TARC0003 returned 36.6m at 1.62% copper and 11.8 g/t silver from 22.9m, including a 9.1m interval grading 4.39% copper and 28.8 g/t silver. Located 80 metres away, hole TARC0008 encountered two mineralised zones, including 38.1m at 1.27% copper and 7.4 g/t silver from 41.1m, and a separate 35.1m zone from surface grading 1.01% copper and 4.7 g/t silver.

The current program is testing the central 2km of a 17km corridor that had not previously been drill-tested. Somerset has completed 14 holes for approximately 2,200 metres to date, with assays for the remaining 12 holes expected on a rolling basis over the coming weeks.

The company holds permits for up to 100 holes, which are available for immediate follow-up drilling at the Talisker target. In addition to the ongoing drilling, Somerset has laboratory assays pending from its 641-sample infill soil program.
