Sorrento Resources Ltd. has intersected a 31-metre interval grading 0.42g/t gold at its Rodgers Cove Project in Newfoundland and Labrador. The result, from drillhole RC26-010, includes a higher-grade sub-interval of 7 metres at 1.01g/t gold.

Additional drilling at the site has returned 13 metres at 0.79g/t gold in drillhole RC26-007. According to the company, both RC26-007 and RC26-010 ended in mineralization. These holes, along with several others, were completed on a soil anomaly approximately 1 to 1.5 kilometres from earlier drilling. Preliminary observations indicate the gold mineralization occurs primarily within altered mafic dykes hosted by quartz diorite, with some gold also present in quartz veins and the diorite groundmass.

The company stated that the mineralization remains open at depth, along strike, and both up and down dip. Sorrento Resources plans to conduct follow-up drilling to further define the continuity and geometry of the system.

The company also announced it has entered into a new technical services agreement with Bugden Geoscience Ltd., effective through the end of 2026, to provide ongoing geological consulting services.
