Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd has intersected 0.3 metres at 1,466.4 g/t gold from 886.7 metres at the 100%-owned Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project in Victoria, featuring an individual assay of 0.1 metres at 4,500 g/t gold.

The result came from the deepest west-to-east drilling completed beneath the Rising Sun prospect to date. Drill hole SDDSC230 intersected seven vein sets and stepped out between 100 and 120 metres on the RS50, RS60, and RS18 vein sets. The headline intercept represents the twelfth-best composite intersection returned at Sunday Creek to date, while the 4,500 g/t individual assay ranks as the fourth-highest single gold assay recorded at the project.

The batch included five drill holes testing approximately 200 metres of lateral extent and 300 vertical metres in largely untested ground beneath Rising Sun. Drill hole SDDSC231, the deepest east-to-west step-out drilled at the prospect, intersected 0.4 metres at 82.1 g/t gold from 823.3 metres and 0.4 metres at 24.3 g/t gold from 1,031.7 metres, marking the deepest mineralization intersected at Rising Sun so far. Wedge hole SDDSC230W1 returned 0.4 metres at 88.6 g/t gold from 842.8 metres.

The new drilling added three composite intersections exceeding 100 g/t gold and four between 50 and 100 g/t gold, bringing the project total to 96 composite intersections exceeding 100 g/t gold. Since late 2020, Southern Cross Gold has reported a cumulative 278 drill holes totaling 134,534.25 metres from Sunday Creek.

“Of the five mineralized bodies discovered at Sunday Creek, Rising Sun is so far the highest grade. These holes show Rising Sun continues to deliver very high grades into previously untested areas at depth where we traditionally see Victoria epizonal deposits shine.”

Southern Cross Gold is advancing its active exploration program at Sunday Creek utilizing eleven operational drill rigs as part of a 200,000-metre drill program running through to Q1 2027. Results are currently pending from 76 holes.
