Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd has returned high-grade assays from five deep drill holes at the Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project in Victoria, headlined by hole SDDSC230, which intersected 0.3 metres at 1,466.4 g/t gold and 0.1% antimony from 886.7 metres.

The interval included an individual assay of 0.1 metres grading 4,500.0 g/t gold, the fourth-highest single gold assay recorded at the project to date. Hole SDDSC230 also yielded four additional composite intervals, including 1.3 metres at 119.1 g/t gold and 0.7% antimony from 987.1 metres, alongside 4.3 metres at 9.0 g/t gold from 858.6 metres, 1.0 metre at 33.0 g/t gold from 899.1 metres, and 0.6 metres at 52.2 g/t gold from 906.9 metres.

The program targeted approximately 200 metres of lateral extent and 300 vertical metres of largely untested ground at depth beneath the Rising Sun prospect. The drilling added three composite intervals exceeding 100 g/t gold, four composites between 50 g/t and 100 g/t gold, and eight individual gold assays above 50 g/t gold, lifting the project total to 96 composite intersections exceeding 100 g/t gold.

The deep drilling confirmed grade continuity down-plunge and at depth. SDDSC230 positioned its high-grade intercept 166 metres down-dip of previously reported hole SDDSC144. Meanwhile, SDDSC231 returned 0.4 metres at 82.1 g/t gold from 823.3 metres and 0.4 metres at 24.3 g/t gold from 1,031.7 metres as the deepest mineralization intersected at the prospect so far. Wedge hole SDDSC230W1 intersected 0.4 metres at 88.6 g/t gold from 842.8 metres.

“Of the five mineralized bodies discovered at Sunday Creek, Rising Sun is so far the highest grade. SDDSC230 has delivered one of the top intersections drilled at Sunday Creek: 0.3 m @ 1,466.4 g/t gold , including an individual assay of 0.1 m @ 4,500 g/t gold.”

Southern Cross Gold holds a 100% interest in the Sunday Creek project, which spans 16,900 hectares of granted exploration tenements and 1,392 hectares of freehold land surrounding the main drilled area. Cumulative drilling now stands at 278 drill holes for 134,534.25 metres reported since late 2020.

The company is advancing an active 200,000-metre drill program running through to the first quarter of 2027 using eleven operational rigs. Assay results remain pending from 76 holes, while process plant design studies are also underway toward completion by the first quarter of 2027.
