Southern Cross Gold has updated the Exploration Target for its 100%-owned Sunday Creek project in Victoria, Australia, now estimating a range of 3.0 to 4.6 million ounces of gold equivalent (Moz AuEq).

The updated range covers 10.4 to 11.9 million tonnes at grades between 8.9 g/t and 12.1 g/t AuEq. This assessment encompasses five prospects—Christina, Golden Dyke, Rising Sun, Apollo, and Apollo East—spanning 1,500 metres of strike. The target area represents less than 15% of the total 11-kilometre mineralized corridor.

“We've grown this Exploration Target from three prospects to five, from 1,020 metres of strike to over 1,500 metres and we are nowhere near done.”

— Michael Hudson, President & CEO

The company is currently operating nine diamond drill rigs at the project. Exploration is supported by several ongoing initiatives, including the completion of 135 kilometres of additional drilling scheduled through the first quarter of 2027. Southern Cross Gold is also advancing the construction of a 1.2-kilometre exploration decline and remains in the process of finalising a Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) for the project area.
