Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited will commence a 2,000-metre diamond drilling program within two weeks at the Ferro South prospect, part of its 100%-owned Llahuin copper-gold-molybdenum project in Chile.

The upcoming campaign follows large copper intercepts reported in August and September 2026, which included a hit of 241 metres grading 0.42% copper equivalent, featuring 143 metres at 0.51% copper equivalent from 36 metres in drill hole 24LHRD067.

The initial 10-week program will consist of holes planned to a depth of 300 metres, with provisions to extend them downhole to 500 metres if visual mineralisation warrants further testing. Field crews previously uncovered high-grade oxide copper mineralisation in outcrop and sub-crop during drill pad preparation at Ferro South in November 2025.

The planned drilling scale represents an expansion from previous field efforts. The diamond drilling program announced in May 2026 covered approximately 1,000 metres, whereas the current campaign doubles that scope to an initial 2,000 metres.

“This program is expected to run for approximately 10 weeks for an initial 2,000m and open for extension on results. Llahuin, hosting a JORC compliant resource from surface of 218mt M+I+I in a well-preserved copper-gold porphyry system over ~3km strike length forms the basis of a serious copper play. Llahuin's results to date warrant a lot more drilling to value add for shareholders,” said Chairman Mark Stowell.

Core samples will be sent to the laboratory at regular intervals. Initial assay results from the drilling program are expected to be received towards the end of November 2026.

Elsewhere in the surrounding district, drilling at the Altar copper-gold project returned 1,257.30 metres grading 0.66% copper equivalent from 135.70 metres in September 2026.

If results from Ferro South confirm extensions of the mineralised zones, the company intends to extend the drill program further to support a subsequent JORC-compliant resource update for the project.
