Spartan Metals Images Tungstonia Veins to 700m at Eagle Project

Spartan Metals Corp. has completed magnetotelluric and direct-current induced polarization geophysical surveys at the Tungstonia Claims on its 100% owned Eagle Tungsten-Silver-Rubidium Project in White Pine County, Nevada, indicating that past-producing tungsten-silver veins project to depths of up to approximately 700 metres.

The surveys delivered the company's first three-dimensional dataset beneath the Tungstonia Claims. The data agree with mapped structures, surface geochemistry, and the projected geological model at depth. Alongside the vein projections, the magnetotelluric survey identified a potential porphyry target covering approximately 3.7 square kilometres between depths of roughly 400 metres and 1,800 metres within carbonate-dominated sedimentary units along the Sims Canyon Fault.

The direct-current induced polarization survey resolved quartz-huebnerite veins one through five and their greisen alteration envelopes. Spartan Metals interprets the veins and the porphyry target as parts of one mineralising system, where pre-existing structures acted as feeder conduits channelling tungsten-bearing fluids upward. The surveys also identified potential carbonate replacement and skarn style targets where interpreted fluid pathways intersect reactive limestone units.

The Eagle Project covers approximately 36.5 square kilometres in White Pine County and contains three past-producing tungsten mines: Tungstonia, Yellow Jacket, and Rees. Regional exploration activity across the surrounding district also continues to advance, including American Tungsten & Antimony Ltd commencing a maiden diamond drilling program at the Dutch Mountain project targeting the same tungsten commodity focus.

Spartan Metals is integrating the geophysical inversions with its geological database to complete an updated three-dimensional model of the Tungstonia system, focusing on areas where known mineralisation, legacy workings, vein and greisen development, interpreted intrusive contacts, and geophysical anomalies coincide.

“These surveys have given us our first look beneath the legacy workings at Tungstonia and across the Tungstonia Claims. We believe we have a coherent picture of one potentially large mineralizing system with several strong targets across the Eagle Project that we can drill with clear rationale behind each one.”
