Most Spectacular Drill Results to Date at Araxa

St George Mining Limited (SGQ) has reported a new set of high-grade drill results from its Araxa rare earths and niobium project in Brazil, citing them as the most significant intercepted to date. The latest batch of assay data, sourced from 37 diamond drill holes, confirms extensive, thick mineralisation starting directly from the surface. Among the standout findings is a record-breaking intercept of 207 metres of continuous mineralisation.

Individual grades reached up to 30% total rare earth oxides (TREO) and 6% niobium pentoxide (Nb₂O₅), highlighting the project's capacity for high-grade recovery. Key intercepts include 135.1 metres at 4.86% TREO and 150.5 metres at 3.66% TREO. Beyond the primary rare earth findings, the drilling also confirmed consistent, broad intervals of high-grade niobium.

The operational significance of these findings lies in the shallow nature of the mineralisation. Because the ore body is accessible from the surface, the company suggests that any future mining operation could benefit from lower pre-strip requirements and simplified extraction processes. Six of the drill holes were positioned outside the current resource boundary, effectively expanding the known footprint of the mineralised system to the north, while 13 other holes identified high-grade material at greater depths than previously modeled.

The company plans to use this batch of data to drive its next technical milestones. These results are currently being integrated into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate, which is scheduled for completion within the current quarter. Following the resource upgrade, management intends to feed the new data into ongoing economic studies to better define the potential for an open-pit operation. Shareholders can anticipate the publication of this updated resource estimate in the coming weeks, while the supporting economic assessments are expected to follow throughout the remainder of the year.

By increasing the drill density in areas previously sparsely tested, the company aims to improve the confidence levels of its resource estimates. This in-fill drilling at 40-metre spacing is designed to support more accurate mine scheduling, reinforcing the technical foundation for the project’s development pathway. As it moves toward these upcoming catalysts, the company continues to focus on the dual potential of the rare earth and niobium mineralisation, viewing the near-surface profile as a primary contributor to both cost efficiency and a faster timeline to potential project production.
