Standard Uranium Secures C$3M Strategic Investment for Flagship Project
Standard Uranium Ltd. has reached an agreement with a Southeast Asian conglomerate for a C$3.0 million strategic investment through a non-brokered private placement.
Under the terms of the conditional agreement, the investor will acquire approximately 19.7% non-diluted ownership in the company through the issuance of 39,215,686 units at a price of C$0.0765 per unit. Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the investor to acquire an additional common share at C$0.115 over a thirty-six-month period, subject to accelerated expiry terms if shares trade at C$0.30 or higher for ten consecutive trading days.
The transaction represents a materially larger raise compared to the company’s earlier private placement that closed on August 5, 2026, which secured gross proceeds of $964,700 at $0.10 per unit, though priced at a steeper discount.
Standard Uranium intends to direct net proceeds from the placement toward ongoing exploration at its flagship Davidson River Project in Saskatchewan, alongside working capital and general corporate purposes.
The parties also anticipate entering into an investor rights agreement granting the investor the right to participate pro rata in future financings and nominate one member to the board of directors, contingent on maintaining at least 10% ownership.
Completion of the offering remains subject to customary closing conditions, including corporate, regulatory, and TSX Venture Exchange approvals. All securities issued under the placement will carry a four-month-and-one-day statutory hold period from the date of issuance.
The spot price for uranium currently sits at US$86.50 per pound, marking a 0.93% increase over the preceding thirty days. Standard Uranium is currently trading at $0.075, up 3.57%.
