Star Copper Corp. (STCU) has reached a milestone in its 2026 exploration campaign at its flagship Star project in British Columbia, completing the first four diamond drill holes of a planned 15,000-metre program. These initial holes represent the company’s first systematic effort to test satellite porphyry centres surrounding the established Star Main discovery. The program is designed to evaluate the broader copper-gold potential of the property, with all samples now submitted to laboratories for geochemical analysis.

The company is moving forward with an integrated exploration model, using geophysics and structural analysis to identify new mineralized zones. The results from the current campaign suggest the potential for multiple centres of mineralization across the site. All four completed holes intersected porphyry-style copper mineralization, confirming the presence of a fertile hydrothermal system across the Star East, Star North, and Copper Creek targets.

"Our objective in 2026 has been to move beyond a single discovery and systematically test the broader mineral endowment across the entire Star property. Intersecting visually significant porphyry-style mineralization across three distributed primary targets is an important milestone that increasingly validates our district-scale exploration model." — Darryl Jones, CEO, President & Director

Operations at the project continue to progress, with the current 1,054 metres of drilling accounting for a significant start to the larger, fully funded 15,000-metre campaign. The inaugural hole at Star East, SE-26-001, intersected over 160 metres of continuous mineralization, while SN-26-002 at Star North hit approximately 180 metres of similar porphyry-style material. Meanwhile, the Copper Creek target has emerged as a focal point, with hole CC-26-002 returning over 200 metres of visually mineralized core, marking it as one of the most promising intervals for the company to date.

Star Copper intends to use the upcoming assay results to refine its geological interpretation and prioritize follow-up drilling for the remainder of the season. As the company advances this district-scale strategy, the focus remains on validating the continuity of these porphyry systems. Investors are now awaiting the disclosure of geochemical data to better understand the grades associated with the visible chalcopyrite and sulphide mineralization reported in the logs. Further exploration activities will be determined by the data gathered from these initial results, helping the team determine which sectors of the property warrant more aggressive testing in the coming months.

This current work represents an evolution from previous years, where the company focused primarily on the Star Main discovery. By systematically testing the surrounding satellite targets, the company is attempting to define the scale of the broader mineral endowment. With a fully funded program and consistent operational updates, the company is positioning itself to test the limits of what it believes is an emerging copper-gold district within the Golden Triangle. Ongoing data integration will be critical for the development of future resource estimates as the team continues to explore the property, effectively moving from localized discovery to systematic district-wide validation.
