Storm Exploration Inc. has received a three-year exploration drill permit for its 100% owned Gold Standard Project in northwestern Ontario, clearing the path to begin testing a volcanogenic massive sulphide target.

The permit covers the entire 5-kilometre length of the target area, located approximately 60 kilometres north of Fort Frances. Storm has submitted a request for proposal to conduct up to 3,000 metres of drilling, with work expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026.

Bruce Counts, President and CEO of Storm Exploration, said the permit clears the way to begin testing and assessing the target following compelling results from prior work. The property is accessible by all-weather forestry road and comprises 373 single-cell mineral claims covering 7,869 hectares. Storm maintains memorandums of understanding with both the Naicatchewenin and Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nations.

“The receipt of the drill permit clears the way for us to begin testing and assessing the VMS target at Gold Standard. It is an important milestone towards advancing exploration at the property,” says Bruce Counts, President & CEO of Storm Exploration. “The work conducted so far has already yielded compelling results and we are eager to commence drilling as soon as possible to advance our understanding of the target.”

Alongside the permitting update, Storm granted 810,000 stock options exercisable at $0.40 per common share until August 19, 2031, and adopted semi-annual financial reporting under applicable venture issuer exemptions.
