Storm Exploration Starts Drilling at Gold Standard
Storm Exploration Inc. has commenced its first diamond drill program at the Gold Standard Project, located 60 kilometres north of Fort Frances in northwestern Ontario.
The initial campaign plans for up to 1,500 metres of core across approximately 10 holes, focusing on the north-south arm of a conductivity anomaly over a two-kilometre strike-length. The program will test an extensive volcanogenic massive sulphide target identified on the 100% owned property. Earlier disclosures had outlined plans for up to 3,000 metres of drilling. Operations will pause temporarily on September 27 for the First Nations traditional moose hunt.
Prior to starting work, Storm closed a private placement raising $3.2 million in gross proceeds through the issuance of eight million units priced at $0.40 each.
The property spans 7,869 hectares across 373 single-cell mineral claims within the Manitou-Stormy Lakes greenstone belt. The target area features a conductivity anomaly stretching over five kilometres, supported by four shallow historical holes drilled by Inco in 1969 and 1970 that intersected copper and zinc sulphide mineralization without being assayed for nickel.

“This is Storm's first drill program at Gold Standard and represents an important step forward for the project,” stated Bruce Counts, President & CEO of Storm Exploration. “The goal of this drill program is to confirm that VMS type mineralization is associated with the large conductivity anomaly. I am excited about the prospect of drilling this underexplored target and look forward to sharing results as they become available.”

Storm Exploration expects to release assay results from the drilling program as they become available.
