Sun Silver Completes Airborne Geophysical Survey at Maverick Silver Project
Sun Silver has completed a high-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic and radiometric survey across the Maverick Silver Project in Nevada, United States.
Conducted by New Resolution Geophysics, the survey covers the expanded project landholding, including recently acquired claims, and is designed to refine geological and structural interpretations to support future exploration and resource expansion drilling. The Maverick deposit hosts a JORC Inferred Mineral Resource of 237 million tonnes grading 45.5 g/t silver and 0.30 g/t gold for 347.2 million ounces of contained silver and 2.25 million ounces of contained gold, representing 539 million ounces of silver equivalent.

Sun Silver Managing Director Andrew Dornan said:
“Completion of this high-resolution geophysical survey marks another important milestone in advancing the Maverick Silver Project. The resulting datasets will enhance our understanding of the broader mineralised system, refine future drill targeting and support continued Mineral Resource growth as we advance the Project toward development.”
Following processing, the geophysical datasets will be integrated with existing drilling, geological mapping and historical exploration data to prioritise exploration targets. The survey complements ongoing technical studies, environmental evaluations, metallurgical testing and an accelerated diamond core drilling campaign that mobilised four rigs in April 2026 to target resource upgrades and growth.
Additionally, Ausenco is undertaking concept and internal scoping studies to support the delivery of a maiden Scoping Study or Preliminary Economic Assessment for the project in the second half of 2026. Supporting the wider market environment, silver traded at US$65.85 per ounce, marking a 10.01% increase over a 30-day period.
