Sun Silver Limited has intersected silver and gold mineralisation directly from surface at the Maverick Springs Project in Nevada, USA, returning 16.8 metres at 20 grams per tonne silver equivalent from surface in drill hole MV0001.

The intercept included 3.5 metres at 46 grams per tonne silver equivalent from surface, featuring a higher-grade interval of 1.5 metres at 75 grams per tonne silver equivalent starting at 1.5 metres depth. The hole also intersected a deeper zone of 80 metres at 59 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 166.1 metres downhole, including a 32-metre section grading 101 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 205 metres.

Drill hole MV0001 additionally encountered antimony mineralisation close to surface, returning 6.1 metres at 0.06% antimony from 1.5 metres and 11.6 metres at 0.06% antimony from 25 metres. A further deeper antimony interval returned 20.6 metres at 0.06% antimony from 205.4 metres.

Sun Silver has advanced the project through continuous diamond drilling and multi-element re-assay campaigns throughout 2025 and 2026 to test silver, gold, and antimony distribution.

Sun Silver has planned future drilling and mine optimisation work at the Maverick Springs Project to assess the potential for starter pits or staged mining areas targeting near-surface mineralisation.

"Silver and gold mineralisation from surface is exactly what we want to see as we evaluate development pathways for Maverick Silver," said Sun Silver Managing Director Andrew Dornan.

"Should these from surface results continue, they could open the door to reduced pre-strip and earlier processing feed which would provide a compelling advantage in the development of a large-scale open-pit operation."
