Sun Silver has secured a groundwater permit from the Nevada Division of Water Resources for the Maverick Silver Project in Nevada, USA.

Permit 94658 grants an annual water entitlement of 50 acre-feet, or about 62 million litres, to support ongoing exploration, drilling and associated development with limited water constraints.

The permit complements a separate application for 2,000 acre-feet per year for future mineral processing requirements, forming part of Sun Silver’s broader strategy.

Maverick is Sun Silver's cornerstone asset, located 85 kilometres from Elko. The deposit hosts an Inferred Mineral Resource of 237 million tonnes grading 45.5 g/t silver and 0.30 g/t gold, containing 347.2 million ounces of silver and 2.25 million ounces of gold.

The company is advancing parallel workstreams alongside water permitting, including resource expansion and infill drilling, metallurgical testwork, mine planning, environmental and hydrological studies, and infrastructure planning. Ausenco is conducting studies to support the delivery of a maiden Scoping Study or Preliminary Economic Assessment for the project in the second half of 2026.

Elsewhere in the Nevada mining district, Equinox Gold Corp. secured federal approval and a positive record of decision for its South Railroad mine project in August 2026.
