Sun Summit Minerals Corp. has finished its 2026 exploration drill program at the JD Project in north-central British Columbia’s Toodoggone mining district, completing more than 16,000 metres of drilling across 55 holes with assay results pending.

The completed campaign represents about 60 percent more work than originally planned, bolstered by field productivity and an oversubscribed private placement financing closed in August 2026.

Drilling spanned three areas. At the Creek Zone, 21 holes totaling about 7,400 metres tested an area measuring 650 by 300 metres to follow up on previous results, including 81.0 metres of 4.80 g/t gold in hole CZ-25-021. The Finn Zone saw 19 holes across roughly 5,400 metres covering a 650-by-600-metre footprint, following up on historical intercepts such as 17.0 metres of 2.31 g/t gold with 113.1 g/t silver in hole FZ-25-002.

Additionally, 15 holes totaling about 3,200 metres were drilled across a 350-by-150-metre area at the Schmitt Zone to investigate the western strike extent of Finn Zone-style mineralization. All holes in the Schmitt Zone intersected local zones of strong brecciation and alteration.

Logging and core sampling remain underway, with assays to be released incrementally. The data will feed into inaugural mineral resource estimates scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

Meanwhile, an induced polarization geophysical survey is set to commence shortly to refine targets along the JD Porphyry trend, building on an airborne mobile magnetotelluric survey completed earlier in the year. Furthermore, initial metallurgical test results for the Creek and Finn zones, prepared by Fuse Advisors Inc. and Blue Coast Research Ltd., are anticipated in early Q4 2026.

The results we saw from several western Finn Zone holes gave us the confidence to expand the program and put 15 additional holes into the Schmitt Zone.
