Sun Summit Minerals Corp. has mobilized an exploration crew to commence 2026 fieldwork at the Orbit copper-gold project in north-central British Columbia.

The 6,600-hectare early-stage property sits approximately 18 kilometres from Sun Summit’s flagship JD Project to the south and the Theory Project to the west. Fieldwork will focus on expanding the Calypso Zone, identified during the 2025 field season, which represents the first known recorded exploration on the ground.

The planned program includes geological mapping, prospecting, rock sampling, and property-wide silt and soil sampling managed by TerraLogic Exploration Inc., with operations expected to continue through September.

The project claims are jointly owned 51% by Sun Summit and 49% by Eagle Plains Resources Ltd., with Eagle Plains acting as project operator. Both companies plan to form a definitive joint venture for the project by December 31, 2026.
