T2 Metals Corp. has commenced surface diamond drilling at its Shanghai Silver-Gold Project in central Yukon, Canada, marking the first time the property has been drilled from surface.

The initial drill program totals approximately 1,500 metres across 10 holes designed to test multiple high-priority targets. Work is focusing on two distinct styles of mineralization: high-grade silver, lead and zinc vein deposits, and Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems.

Targets include the historical Shanghai Silver Mine prospect, where past underground sampling and drilling intersected 1,182.8 grams per tonne silver, 8.2% lead and 7.2% zinc over 9.1 metres. Additional holes are testing the northeast strike extension at the Shanghai NE prospect and intrusion-related gold targets at the Bella prospect.

T2 Metals acquired the option to earn a 100% interest in the project from Yukon explorer Shawn Ryan in September 2025. While prior field programs in late 2025 were limited to surface reconnaissance and soil anomaly checking, the current program integrates comprehensive LiDAR, VLF-EM conductors, and airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys to refine specific drill locations. The project operates under an active Class 3 Permit that is fully permitted for drilling, road construction and camp installation.

“Getting a rig turning at a property that has never been drilled from surface is an exciting project milestone. From the first drill platform, we can see historic mines at Keno Hill and AurMac, which place us right in the heart of a proven, world-class district with significant discovery potential. The exceptional grades and significant intervals recorded in underground workings at the Shanghai Silver Mine provide a robust starting point for our drill program. Combining the systematic soil sampling by renowned Yukon explorer, Shawn Ryan, with our own mapping and sampling gives us real conviction in our targets. We look forward to seeing what drilling reveals and reporting results as they come to hand.”

The company plans to report assay results from the surface diamond drilling program at the Shanghai Project as they become available.
