TalonX Resources Limited (ASX: TXR) has received high-grade assay results from the 1-meter resampling of reverse circulation drilling at its Viking project in Western Australia. The analysis of samples from the Beaker 2 prospect confirms significant gold mineralization, with drillhole 26VKRC010 intersecting 4 meters at 22.1 grams per tonne of gold from 31 meters depth. This interval includes a higher-grade sub-section of 2 meters at 42.4 grams per tonne of gold.

The results, which originated from an initial 13-hole drilling program, reveal a shallow oxide gold system spanning approximately 400 meters by 300 meters. The mineralization appears consistent within the oxide profile, typically found between 20 and 40 meters below the surface. The company noted that the high-grade intercept is associated with distinct quartz veining within sheared granite, which geological observations suggest may extend into the underlying fresh rock.

Beyond the primary results, TalonX has outlined a clear path for upcoming operational catalysts. The company plans to conduct follow-up reverse circulation drilling at both the Beaker 2 and Beaker 4 prospects. This work will aim to test the western, northern, and southern strike extensions of the mineralized zones while specifically targeting the depth potential of the quartz-vein system beneath the recent high-grade find. Once this next phase of drilling is completed, the company intends to assess the viability of establishing an initial Mineral Resource estimate for the Beaker 2 prospect.

The company also reported data from recent reverse circulation drilling at its secondary Blair North project. Results there included intercepts such as 6 meters at 1.1 grams per tonne of gold at the Commodore North prospect. Management has indicated that further drilling is currently being designed for Blair North to better define the mineralized and altered zones identified during this latest campaign. These combined efforts across both projects form the immediate focus for the technical team as they look to delineate the extent of the gold systems discovered during the recent spring drilling programs.
