Talonx Resources Limited has identified district-scale copper and base-metal exploration potential at its approximately 1,000km² Kihabe Project in north-west Botswana, underpinned by historical drill results including 7m at 1.04% copper from 71m in hole KIH011.

The project occupies part of the underexplored northeastern extension of the Damara Orogenic Belt, a regional geological system that hosts major copper and polymetallic deposits in neighbouring Namibia. Historical drilling has demonstrated copper mineralisation across an approximately 800m strike extent in the northeastern sector of the Kihabe deposit. Additional historical intersections include 6.5m at 0.67% copper from 91m in hole KDD140 and 18m at 0.43% copper from 122m in hole KRC052.

The project already hosts combined Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources of 27.0Mt at Kihabe and Nxuu, containing approximately 385,000t of zinc, 186,000t of lead, and 6.44Moz of silver within the sedimentary succession. Historical copper mineralisation was not included in the 2022 Mineral Resource estimates, providing potential upside beyond the established zinc-lead-silver resources.

To test the wider potential beyond the established deposits, Talonx plans to conduct geological mapping, surface geochemistry, and evaluation of historical drilling to define drill targets along favourable sedimentary horizons and within structurally prepared carbonate rocks. The company also plans to undertake a scoping study for the project, which is intended to incorporate the latest hydrometallurgical test results from the Nxuu Deposit.
