Targa Starts 4,400-Metre Drill Program at Opinaca Gold Project

Targa Exploration Corp. has commenced its diamond drill campaign at the Opinaca gold project in the James Bay region of Quebec.
The program is slated for 4,400 metres across 11 holes, scaled back from an initially planned 4,500 to 5,000 metres across 12 to 15 holes announced in August. The flagship property is subject to a 3% net smelter return royalty held by Kenorland Minerals, which is managing operations.
Two rigs are turning to test along-strike continuity following last year's maiden campaign. The first three completed holes form a fence roughly 700 metres west of hole 25OPDD007, which intersected 13.88 g/t gold over 3.65 metres. Samples from the initial two holes have arrived at the laboratory for assaying.
“We are excited to report that drilling is advancing quickly at Opinaca with two rigs turning,” commented Targa CEO, Cameron Tymstra. “The first seven holes of this program are planned within the western anomaly where last year we hit gold in seven out of eight drill holes.”

Drilling across the property is expected to wrap up by mid-September 2026, with assay results anticipated in the fall.
